“As Covid-19 brought travel to a standstill and tour operators were closing due to financial hardship, a period of soul searching made it clear that I had to continue my lifelong journey as a Travel Designer. Although the road ahead seemed arduous, 360’s Partner model offered me a real opportunity to reinvent, take control of, and grow my independent business under their umbrella. Being part of this experienced travel network also allows me to take advantage of exchanging insider ideas and news, as well as adding value to my client’s trips with Virtuoso benefits & luxury hotel partnerships. Nowadays it is paramount to be associated with a trusted and established brand, since relationships forged within the industry are needed for a smooth & successful trip abroad.
I believe that travelling well is a constant work in progress, and it starts very simply with an open mind, the ability to make honest connections with others, and a profound respect for the natural world and our vastly different cultures. I love sharing my own revelations from the road with clients, always encouraging them to push outside of their comfort zones. These exotic experiences eventually become inspiring stories passed down for generations, which enlighten us about the unique point in time we live in.
As the face of travel evolves, travellers will be more dependent on the security and support of our teams on the ground, as well as considering the footprint they leave behind, by choosing sustainably-conscious suppliers or giving back to each community visited.
My passion for travel lies in the journey itself; regardless of the time and distance it takes to arrive, there is a meaningful pleasure that comes with ‘getting there,’ ‘getting to know’ the people along the way, ‘getting to taste’ the culinary delights, and ‘getting it right,’ by accepting that we are all transient visitors into a foreign world, peeking temporarily into the lives of others and respecting their boundaries.”
