After a career in engineering, Mark moved into the travel industry catching the travel bug during a trip up Australia’s East coast in a campervan. Leaving the world of wires and computers behind and learning to scuba dive he spent time in the Philippines and Egypt working and training as a PADI Dive Master & Instructor before heading to Africa. Falling in love with the continent he spent 3 years travelling around Southern and Eastern Africa before completing an epic, independent overland journey from Cape Town back to London taking in countries as diverse as Uganda, Ethiopia and Sudan.
Finally settling in the UK, Mark joined one of the countries leading tour operators, and has spent the past 12 years working in a variety of differing roles including sales, product management and marketing. Passionate about the Middle East and Africa, Mark has extensive travel experience throughout these regions and has also been fortunate enough to visit a huge number of fascinating countries around the globe including Russia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Peru and the Galapagos Islands. Joining 360 Private Travel Mark brings a wealth of experience in luxury travel as well as a keen commercial eye and strong marketing and business development expertise.
“Now a father to 3 young children my days of truly ‘off the beaten track travel’ have been replaced by more family friendly villa holidays, at least until the children are a little older, when I am looking forward to showing them the wonders of an African Safari or the delights of a Galapagos cruise. Where-ever I visit I love exploring and discovering new cultures and am always on the look-out for exciting new destinations and unique experiences. Travel for me is about getting under the skin of a country or city and coming back from a trip feeling enriched and having learnt something about the fascinating world around us all”.
