Huw’s love for travel started from a young age with family holidays to France staying in rustic gîtes and feasting on food from the local markets. After studying Business Studies with Tourism at university, during a placement to the French Alps, he fell in love with skiing and spent two seasons ski guiding and ski instructing in Andorra before returning to the UK to work for a ski chalet tour operator at their head office in London.
His career then swiftly diversified to luxury villa rentals in the south of France (a region that Huw has extensive knowledge and is passionate about) and then more recently, to the luxury ski chalet business. Over this time, Huw has developed a passion and keen interest in global food, wine and luxury hospitality. Whilst a self-confessed Francophile and fluent French speaker, Huw also enjoys travelling to inspiring destinations around the world with recent trips to California, Colorado, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa and has covered much of Australia, where his wife’s family live.
Outside of work, Huw has been bitten by the road cycling bug and he regularly combines long weekend trips to the South of France, searching out wonderful places to stay whilst attempting some of the nearby gruelling Tour de France climbs.
Exceptional food and wine plays a big part in his global travel itineraries with his finger on the pulse of foodie travel trends, new destinations and the latest hotel openings. He’s keen to share his travel secrets with his clients.
